How to Get Umrah Visa Directly: A Simple 2-Step Guide [Without Travel Agent]

If you’re planning a pilgrimage to Islam’s most sacred sites, getting a visa is likely a top priority.

While many people opt to obtain their visas through travel agents, it’s important to note that the cost of Umrah packages can vary significantly.

Prices can start at Dh3,000 but may increase, especially during peak periods like the first 20 days of Ramadan, sometimes by as much as 25 percent, according to travel agents.

If you’re considering applying for an Umrah visa on your own, here are two methods you might consider:

Apply Via The Official Website:

  • Visit the website: https://visa.mofa.gov.sa/.
  • Click on the “Services for visitors” tab at the bottom left of the page.
  • On the next page, find the section titled ‘Haj and Umrah eVisa Application Form’, then click on the ‘Apply’ button to start your Umrah visa application.
  • Click on the “Submit a new application” button, which will redirect you to a new page where you can begin the application process.
  • Fill out the eVisa application form with your details and create a new account. Once completed, proceed to register your application.
  • Follow these steps to submit your application to the embassy for processing.

Apply Via The Nusuk App:

Download and install the Nusuk app from your smartphone’s app store.

  • Once installed, open the app and create an account if you haven’t already done so.
  • On the app’s home page, find the section titled “Performing Umrah, Your Journey Awaits.” Below this section, you’ll see a button labeled “Apply.” Click on this button to start your Umrah visa application.
  • Choose the Umrah package that best suits your needs and preferences.
  • Provide the personal information of all individuals traveling for the pilgrimage, including health statuses and whether they require wheelchair assistance, if applicable.
  • Select the dates for your pilgrimage from the calendar displayed on the screen.
  • Choose a specific time slot for performing Umrah. Each slot is three hours long, and you can only select one slot per day for your pilgrimage.
  • Review and agree to the terms and conditions before proceeding. Then, review all the details you’ve filled out.
  • Once satisfied, submit your application. It will be processed, and you’ll soon receive your permit to perform Umrah.
