The CEO of Take-Two Interactive compares Red Dead Redemption to James Bond and assures that there will be new installments in the coming years.
After the launch of the first Red Dead Redemption, and with strong criticism for its pricing policy, it seems that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive want to continue bringing adventures about cowboys and the Wild West. Take 2 itself has confirmed that it wants to launch Red Dead Redemption 3.
He has not made any announcement about Red Dead Redemption III, but he has pointed it out as something as viable as it is necessary due to the figures he manages. At a recent investor conference, Strauss Zelnick, current CEO of Take-Two Interactive, confirmed that they want to continue launching installments of their main franchises while continuing to maintain the high-income rates they currently have.
If something is really good, it will continue […]. I just saw the new Bond movie, and it’s great. Everyone would like all franchises to be like James Bond. There are very few IPs in the entertainment world of any kind that reach such a category, but there are. I think GTA is one of them, I think Red Dead is one of them. Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive
The truth is that, currently, a large part of Rockstar Games is focused on the development of Grand Theft Auto VI, whose reveal would be surprisingly close. Once the next GTA goes on sale, it would not be strange if the studio turned several of its divisions into making the new RDR 3 taking into account the success of the first two, and how the franchise has returned with an unexpected relaunch of the first delivery.
And you, do you think we will see Red Dead Redemption 3 soon?
